After collection in Stavanger/Sandnes, we will depart for a scenic drive through a massive glacial trough, sheep-scattered mountain roads, and the lunar-like landscape of the famous Lyseveien. After enjoying a short stop in a local village, we will arrive prepared for our hiking adventure. Upon arrival, we set off for a demanding hike comprised of three climbs separated by beautiful alpine valleys. Your experienced and passionate guide will highlight glacial landforms, and share insights into local flora and cultural heritage. After stopping to fill water bottles in a fresh mountain stream, your guide will safely lead you to some of the most stunning viewpoints on the Lysefjorden.

This is the perfect trip for nature lovers, photographers, and experienced hikers hoping to avoid the busier main tourist path and take time to focus on a deeper immersion into nature. The hike starts with a short, steep climb from the car park before we detour into a rarely used hidden trail that winds its way through the forests, mountains, and lakes. As we hike, your guide will take time to highlight and sample different species of plants, berries, mosses, and lichens, and provide insights into local fauna and cultural heritage. The final section of the hike culminates in a mountain top with spectacular views of Stavanger, the Lysefjorden and Preikestolen from above - views not seen by the majority of hikers! After enjoying these views, we descend down to the Pulpit Rock to enjoy peering into the fjord below. After a relaxing break here, we choose our preferred return route back to the trailhead. This historic dairy farm has been converted into a hotel and restaurant, features its very own candle factory, and has become one of the most important tourist destinations in the region. Afterward, we will drive into the UNESCO Geopark to Gloppedalsura, the site of a famous WWII battle, and take in the majestic cliffs and stunning views over the largest boulder field in Northern Europe. Combining canoe paddling, hiking along an old path now rediscovered, and an authentic Norwegian packed lunch, we are proud to offer this unique experience to our guests! After pickup in Stavanger, and collecting our delicious lunches, we arrive at Preikestolen Basecamp. After a safety canoe instruction, we paddle across the lake, make our way onto shore, and hike along an old and forgotten trail. Tourists don’t know this trail even exists, and other guide companies don’t use it. This means we have the trail to ourselves! The pace allows for time to adjust clothes and equipment for comfort, time to drink water, rest and enjoy lunch, and to take pictures along the way. The hike takes roughly 3 hours to reach Preikestolen - our main goal for the day. After we have enjoyed the scenery and relaxed for a while, we head back down. It normally takes about 2.5 hours to get back down to the parking area.

Join us on a unique experience! Winter weather may seem intimidating, but our guides provide the safety to enjoy the winter landscape of Fjord-Norway. After pick up in Stavanger and a 45-minute drive to Preikestolen Basecamp, you’ll get a briefing and a chance to prepare before starting the adventure! Reaching the top typically takes about 2.5 hours, depending on group & conditions. The sensible pace includes time for clothing adjustments, rest & photo breaks. If conditions allow, the guide may lead you to hidden viewpoints along the way. If the weather cooperates, you’ll enjoy sweeping views from this ice-age formation rising 604 meters above the fjord. After a snack & hot drink, we begin the approximately two-hour descent to a hot lunch. Because snow and ice are common from January to March, hiking without a guide is not recommended. Our professional guides are trained for winter navigation and carry all necessary safety, first-aid, and winter-specific equipment.

First of all we will bring you outside the main stream tourist routs. Most of the visitors in Stavanger want to see the famous PulPit in Lysefjord. We dont do that. We wanna show the beautiful island in Stavanger Municipality and just outside Stavanger Center. Stavanger is beautiful walking the the streets, but why not see the wider Stavanger from the sea side. We will tell you about Stavanger and the history of the vessel RS56 Olav Ringdal jr launched in 1952. It's a dramatic history during it's 30 years Search and Rescue periode. Onboard we also have the signature of Haakon the 7th, Norways first king after the liberation from Sweden. He inspected the vessel before it was put into operation back in 1952. It's a unique atmosphere on board. It's a solidly built vessel for any weather condition. The speed of 8 knots will make it a relaxing tour.

Fantahåla, Jettegryta, Prekestolen, Goats, Henganefossen etc. On the fly-bridge cruiseing in Lysefjord on a sunny day with family, friends, spouse or colleagues, it gives a wonderfully beautiful atmosphere with powerful mountain sides that meet the blue fjord.

Consider spending a day climbing the world’s longest wooden staircase. With its 4444 steps, Flørli is known to be one of the scariest stairs in the world. The climb is long and strenuous, but provides great lookout points where you can stop to catch your breath while enjoying the vista over the Lysefjord down below. This is a two-part hike that does not take you through the same scenery more than once. The descent follows the hundred-year old marked trail that was once used by the “Rallarer”. Rallarer were often underprivileged men that were employed in the 1800s Norway to help build infrastructure. They are remembered to have carried up to 80 kg loads on their backs, and are the ones that built the stairs along with the Flørli Hydroelectric Power Station at their base. The dam at Ternevatnet, which the return trail passes, also stands as a reminder of their mastery.

Hiking before dawn lets you enjoy rare peace, far from the crowds that fill the trail in high season. Your adventure begins early, with pick-up in Stavanger. After a 45-minute drive, we arrive at the trailhead (WC access). After a short briefing and the allocation of practical tips, headlamps, and hiking poles, we ascend through the calm darkness, sometimes lit by the moon. The guide shares local folklore for those interested, adding a touch of mystery to the landscape. The pace includes time for clothing adjustments, breaks, and snacks. After about 2.5 hours, we reach Preikestolen, 604 metres above the Lysefjord, and take in the dramatic panorama—weather permitting, the sunrise paints the mountains in spectacular light. The descent takes about 2 hours, after which we enjoy a simple, fresh breakfast before returning to Stavanger, reflecting on a truly memorable hike.

This tour takes you through the city-islands off Stavanger. Here it is chill and quiet, we go at a slow speed to make the trip a social and pleasant experience for the passengers. This is the trip if you want a day / evening trip with friends or colleagues and eat shellfish or tapas on board before we set you off where you wish.
