Your trip to the Laughton Glacier combines a scenic train ride aboard the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railway with a wilderness hike to the magnificent Laughton Glacier where you have an opportunity to HIKE ON A GLACIER! This is an out-and-back trail through the Tongass National Forest. The hiking speed of each tour determines the length of the hike, typically the whole hike is 6-8 miles. Your adventure will begin with a guided driving town tour of Skagway and continue up the White Pass on the Klondike Highway. Board bus for a 30 minute ride on the Haines Scenic Byway into the heart of the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve to the river dock. On your narrated drive you will enjoy stories of the history of the valley. During your time on the Chilkat River, traverse many different channels and travel 20 miles into the wilderness. Your vessel is specially designed to travel on silt-laden rivers which is the only access to a remote roadless portion of the preserve. The preserve has the best moose habitat in the valley, although no guarantees, the chances of spotting moose or bears are very good. Have your cameras ready in case the wildlife provides a once in a lifetime photo opportunity. After returning to the dock, you'll enjoy a riverside picnic. **Wildlife sightings are not a guarantee**

This Skagway shore excursion shows you a glimpse of Canada's legendary north country. On this half-day tour by mini-bus, you'll travel up to the White Pass, cross the border into Canada and travel the Klondike Highway in British Columbia. You'll see incredible scenery and maybe even spot native wildlife roaming the spectacular scenery. The turnaround point is the Yukon border and Welcome to the Yukon sign for a great photo. As a bonus, we include a stop at the Yukon Suspension Bridge! View the Tutshi river canyon while crossing the bridge and see educational displays. The Chilkoot Hike and Float Tour is an active, family-oriented hiking adventure along the world famous Chilkoot Trail. This wilderness hike takes place in the heart of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. Learn about the Gold Rush, Native Alaskan, and natural history of the region. Depart Skagway for a 10-mile (16 km) scenic van tour along the coastline to the Chilkoot Trail trailhead and then enjoy 1.5 to 2 hours of hiking and 40 minutes on the raft. The hike is moderately strenuous so please be in good condition. Have your camera ready for occasional wildlife sightings both on land and in the water. Get away from the crowds in Skagway and get immersed in the natural beauty of the Dyea valley during the coastal forest hike and while floating down the peaceful river.

Enjoy the classic Skagway tour! Our tour will take you down Broadway, Skagway's historic main street, and we'll point out various points of interest and photo stops. As we leave Skagway, we'll climb over 3,500 feet in elevation up to the summit, where Gold Rushers had to hand-carry all their gear on their way into Canada - except you'll do it from a heated bus. Our tour will pick up all guests and get you back in time for your ship.
