We have spent the years racing and learning about dogsledding. This knowledge is the foundation of the dogsledding trips that we offer our guests. We will take you to the tracks along the Alta River and the path where Europe’s best mushers race towards the finish line for the famous Finnmarksløpet. Driving snowmobile is a great way to experience freedom and it is an activity that we really enjoy to offer. We arrange organized guided tours since 2007 and have the knowledge about the area and the best way to explore it. We will take you to breathtaking places with incredible and different views where we can stop and take some pictures. If we are lucky we can also meet a reindeer herd in their traditional migration over the mountain plateau.

After preparing you for the adventurous ride ahead we take you along the old postal road up to the very edge of Finnmarksvidda to a mountain range called Beskades. Through snow covered forests we make our way up to the expansive mountain plains. Here you can embrace the true arctic wilderness, surrounded by only snow and the sky in all directions. On the trip you will learn about our history and the lifestyle of the arctic, while also getting to experience Finnmarks culinary side with locally made snacks. Your best chance to see the northern lights in Alta is to be out under the night sky as often as you can. This tour takes you outdoors for a cozy “slow adventure” – a perfect way to spend an evening in good company on a leisurely local northern lights hunt. Your ride will take you through the forest and along the Alta River until you arrive at a wilderness shelter and take a break. A late, light dinner will be served around a fire, protected from the weather by the shelter’s half-wall. Join us for an unforgettable fishing adventure in Alta Fjord, where you can reel in species like cod, coalfish, haddock, redfish, and Atlantic halibut. Upon request, we can filet and pack your catch, but you’ll need to take the fish with you after the tour. Join us on a four hour tour and explore the coastline outside Alta on an ATV. We pick up at hotels and port in Alta and take a 30 min drive to a small village called Kviby. Here we put on driving gear and get a little briefing on how your ATV works before we set off on this adventure. This is a nice and effortless way to discover places certainly wouldn't have seen on your own. Join us on this adventure and let nature impress you!
