Explore Icy Strait in style aboard our custom built 6 passenger whale watching catamaran with an enclosed heated cabin, restroom, indoor seating, outdoor seating, & 360 degree walk around viewing deck. We limit our vessel to 6 passengers max (whether private or mixed) to provide our guests with an uncrowded, relaxed, and intimate wildlife experience. On the day of your tour, we will pick you up from your cruise ship port and return you via van. Our excursion is 3 hours and 45 minutes from pick up to drop off (includes meeting, transit, & loading time). We designed this excursion to be one of the longest whale watching tours offered in Icy Strait. This extra time on the water allows us the opportunity to fully experience Icy Strait's rich diversity of marine wildlife. We guarantee whale sightings or you will receive a full refund. The modified Hummer will take you across our working ranch where you will see hay fields and maybe horses. Once on the first tower you don’t touch the ground till your land at our private pond. You will zip over 900 foot canyon, over salmon creeks. The views are incredible from the moment you arrive. There are 6 tandem zip and 3 elevated walking bridges with floating stairs. You guides will give you all the safety information needed to have an enjoyable adventure. All gear is provided.

This tour is designed for active and adventurous cruise passengers who are looking for an Alaskan excursion that is off the beaten path and away from the crowds. We’ll depart Icy Strait Point and drive through the Alaska Native Tlingit village of Hoonah before merging onto old logging roads that will take us to a remote river for fishing (spin or fly fishing available). During the car ride and along the river it is common to spot wildlife- the island has more brown bears per square mile than almost anywhere else on the planet! *Groups of more than 6 can be accommodated, please contact us to inquire about booking.

I (Captain Matt) along with my crew member take our guests out for an incredible experience on the waters in and around Sitka Sound viewing the breathtaking scenery and enjoying diverse wildlife encounters! You may see many if not all of the following wildlife, Humpback whales, Sea Lions, Sea Otters, Harbor Seals, Ravens, Bald eagles, shearwaters, cormorants, 2 types of puffins, and many other sea birds too numerous to mention. Bears are regularly viewed in the late summer early fall, and occasionally viewed in the spring. As I have had a long career commercial fishing in Southeast Alaska, I give unique insight into the local fishing industry. Both my crew and I will also enlighten you on local history and life in Sitka. To ensure your experience is genuine, my crew is always either one of my family, or a local hire that truly knows Sitka. We live it year round!!

The Salty Sitkan offers visitors Sitka’s most unique fish experience in Alaska. Visit the only metal art workshop along the inside passage open for classes to visitors. Mike is a 3rd generation high school shop teacher with a decade of experience making students and teachers alike successful in all types of creations. Mike will start this fast paced class by making the sparks fly on a state of the art CNC Plasma cutter to supply you with a flat metal animal blank in the shape of a variety of alaska creatures such as Sockeye, Coho or King Salmon, halibut, grizzly bears, dungeness crabs, bald eagles, pacific octopus and more! You will get a unique chance to see inside a working cnc workshop and learn some of the tricks of the trade for turning dull, crusty steel into spectacular one-of-a-kind Alaskan keepsakes.

See the Chugach Range from the air as your helicopter flight takes you over snow capped mountain peaks and braided river valleys to land on over 300 feet of glacial ice thousands of years old! Experience majestic blue pools, stunning, swirling moulins, deep crevasses and dramatic ice formations that continue to fascinate and attract the explorer in all of us when you step foot and trek around the surface of the Knik Glacier. The mighty Knik, one of the largest glaciers left in Southcentral Alaska, is 26 miles in length and 6 miles across at its toe and is just one of several glaciers in the ancient river valley. In addition to spotting wildlife from the air (moose, dall sheep, spawning salmon, and bears), you’ll have an eagle’s eye view of towering waterfalls, glacial iceberg-filled lakes, and the untouched wilderness of the Alaska backcountry. The Matanuska Glacier is a premiere attraction in Alaska (and our absolute favorite!) Up to 10 guests will enjoy a scenic drive along the beautiful Matanuska river in a Mercedes Sprinter. We'll stop on the way for snacks and coffee and enjoy a guided tour as you relax in comfort and style! Once at the Glacier, we will join a guided tour by the local Matanuska Park Guides throughout the glacier and you will be told about the history, size and scope as you traverse the canyons, peaks, valleys and caves on this beginner to intermediate hike.

Fish in one of the most beautiful settings on earth with us! Rare permits give us the ability to share this entire stretch of river with you. Experience the upper Kenai river on an 8 hour full-day guided fishing trip in 20 foot custom drift boats sometimes stopping in the best places to do some Kenai River wade fishing from shore. Fly fishing and spin fishing in small groups provides a personalized experience with your seasoned local guide/instructor Mike Adams.  Enjoy the Chugach National Forest and/or the upper Kenai National Wildlife Refuge with the chance of seeing the local wildlife that abounds here. Fishing on the upper Kenai River is an unparalleled experience. Fishing for native Kenai River rainbow trout and dolly varden char is an excellent choice. Cooper Landing salmon fishing is also fantastic during our two Kenai River sockeye salmon runs and our two silver salmon runs.

Come join us on a lovely 3.6-mile roundtrip hike through an Alaska State Park into the Tongass National Forest. Enjoy a small group of up to 7 guests! First relax on the 40-minute scenic drive to the end of the road. Then hike an improved gravel trail alongside a river with glimpses of waterfalls. Walk through a magical old-growth rainforest displaying impressive specimens of Sitka spruce and western red cedar fencing in the trail. Besides some stairs at the beginning of the hike, the trail flattens out and winds along the river valley below a ridge. 1 mile down the trail, our destination is a stone bench beside a serene bow in the river, where we can pause and enjoy one another and the peace and quiet. Howdy! My name is Tim. I love to take new people exploring on the ocean to share what I love about where I live. My tour is designed to see the wilds of Alaska from the water and not from the window of a van. Think salt spray, not gift shops. With 3 full hours on the water you will see a range of marine and inter-tidal life. Unlike a dock launched kayak tour I don’t have a firmly set route. The Huckleberry (the cabined vessel in the photos) allows us the mobility to find the best water, wind, and wildlife of the day. After leaving Ketchikan, I will get you geared and lower the tandem kayaks off the boat and into the water. Then we will paddle some beautiful uninhabited, Alaskan coastline together! I strive to make sure that the tour stays accessible regardless of your experience level. After the paddle we will return to the Huckleberry for a snack. The cruise back into town is fast, comfortable, and guaranteed to get you there in plenty of time to catch your cruise ship!

We offer small group guided guided kayak trips on this pristine mountain lake near Haines, Alaska. Our guides all undergo rigorous in house safety training along with Wilderness First Aid training. In addition our guides have degrees and or in depth knowledge in Zoology, Biology and Natural history and live in the community of Haines. This gives our guides the unique ability to share with you not only the natural beauty of the area but the unique lifestyle we live here in this little fishing town of Haines, at the northern most point of the inside passage.

Experience a 1.5-hour Misty Fjords flightseeing tour with Seawind Aviation aboard our classic DeHavilland Otter or Beaver seaplanes. Just a short flight from Ketchikan, you’ll soar above towering 3,000-foot granite walls, deep fjords carved by ancient glaciers, misty peaks, waterfalls, and lush forested slopes. We’ll touch down on a remote mountain lake or calm saltwater inlet for a 20-minute stop, giving you the chance to step out onto the floats and take in the stillness of this pristine wilderness up close. After returning to Ketchikan, we’ll bring you back to the downtown cruise ship docks in plenty of time to board. Norwegian Cruise Line guests who are docked at Ward Cove (20 min outside Ketchikan) will be dropped at the free shuttle stop for easy transport back to their ship.

The Focus on Haines Private Tour is tailored to my guests' interests and will offer you the opportunity to see the best Alaska has to offer.away from the ships & shops. Whether you are a photographer or just want to get out into the quiet corners of America’s last frontier, you will find Haines to be the Alaska you came to experience. At each stop I share the stories of cultural and natural history that makes each location special. If your interest is photography, I strive to cover the basics of your camera's technical functions. I offer instruction how and when to use the camera's various modes to optimize the photograph you would like to save as a real keeper. Additionally, I offer tips to optimize your opportunities for successful wildlife photography. I can discuss the best composition considerations when framing your shots so you come home with an award-winning photograph. For people who want an extended tour, additional time can be provided for at the time of the tour.

Your adventure will begin with a guided driving town tour of Skagway and continue up the White Pass on the Klondike Highway. Along the way your guide will regale you with history about the Klondike Gold Rush and the natural history of the area. From the trailhead you will spend the next 2 hours hiking through the beautiful alpine forest surrounded by the towering snow capped mountains of the White Pass. Your naturalist guides will stop frequently along the way to share their knowledge about the native flora, fauna, and to describe the amazing glacial history of Alaska. Each group is outfitted with binoculars to maximize your opportunities to see up close the spectacular mountain and river scenery. Midway through the hike you will be treated to a delicious snack at the final breathtaking overlook with incredible views of the Skagway valley, White Pass, and the Lynn Canal.

Slip on your heated helmet and hit the gas--we are headed through Alaska's winter playground.  This 1 hour guided tour takes place on the outskirts of North Pole where we will thunder across the famous Alaska Pipeline and zip through snow covered forests.  We usually see some wildlife on every tour to include: Moose, Fox, Snowshoe Hares, Ptarmigan, Grouse, and squirrels.   All snowmobiles are new  Ski Doo luxury touring snowmobiles. These snowmobiles are made for riding in style and comfort. All snowmobiles have heated handgrips and electric start.

Experience the thrill of ascending to heights offering 360-degree views of the nearby Cook Inlet and interior Chugach mountains. Gaze at deep, glaciated, u-shaped valleys, and giant ridge lines defining the landscape. Imagine pristine, treeless, tundra loaded with vegetation that you can touch, taste, and feel. If you have never seen alpine before, prepare to be amazed! Alpine trekking is an incredibly unique way to see the landscape. You can see endless miles of mountainous terrain. On a clear day, we can even see Mt. Denali hundreds of miles away! Plus, once you're on top, the terrain can be fairly flat, making the trekking a truly enjoyable experience. During the tour, we may see moose, bear, Dall sheep, mountain goats, and a variety of small mammals like arctic squirrels and marmots. There are also plenty of birds to gaze at like bald eagles, thrushes, chickadees, and jays. This is one of our favorite ways to experience Alaska and the Chugach State Park.
